Which I probably shouldn’t share with anyone whose respect I care about, but that’s not why I come here.

Anyway

It took me years (years) to realize that when I read the word infrared, it is not in fact the past tense of infrare, which is not even a word.

Oooh, ooooh, I have one!

Championship has the suffix -ship, which refers to the state of being a champion. For years (years), I thought it was champion-chip and still sometimes pronounce it thus.

 Post sneeze I thought you were suppoesd to say blesh you instead of bless you for, well, far too long. All those years of sunday school and ccd really paid off!
